Anupama Singh

Anu has over 20 years of leadership experience in international development and administration across the public sector and in not-for-profit organizations. For the past several years, Anu has been a keen contributor to the public school education system in the greater Seattle area. She works closely with students to realize their potential through reflection and self-discovery, which is a key component in the application process for US universities. She has become deeply versed in the application process and is keenly aware of the transitional journey from India to the US. Further, Anu has led workshops on culture and identity in Seattle area schools, was an advisory member for Race and South Asian exhibits at the Wing Luke Museum, Seattle and for the Equity and Diversity Committee, Northshore School District, WA. Previously, Anu was Executive Director of Chaya, a Seattle based nonprofit where she led initiatives to support immigrant families. Before relocating to the US, she served in the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) in multiple leadership positions in the Ministry of Finance and the State Government of Andhra Pradesh, India. As CEO of the Andhra Pradesh Women’s Finance Corporation, she developed her passion for inclusive development. Anu has a Masters in Public Administration (MPA), University of Washington, Seattle. She is a post-graduate in History from Delhi University and an M.Phil from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India.
